The on-site onsen features both indoor and outdoor pools with natural mineral water. The breakfast buffet offers an excellent array of options, from traditional Japanese dishes to Western favorites.
Rooms feel a bit dated, lacking the modern touch that some might prefer for a higher-end experience. The lobby has a cramped ski lodge vibe, which might not create the warm welcome expected upon arrival. While there's a foot massage facility, the absence of a full exercise room leaves fitness enthusiasts wanting more.

The location excels with true ski-in-ski-out access, and the spacious lockers for equipment add a layer of convenience for winter sports enthusiasts. The room at Hotel Niseko Alpen was cozy and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. We loved the private bathroom with a bath and bidet, along with the slippers and free toiletries provided. Having a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea in the room was a nice touch. The mountain view from our quadruple room, equipped with an electric kettle and air conditioning, was breathtaking. It was convenient to have a kettle in the room for a quick cup of tea.
Personally, I found the shower/tub combination in the private bathroom a bit inconvenient.
